My name is Karla Santa Anna, but everybody calls me Crayo (The Crayon). I am a strategic and multidisciplinary CD with a strong AD background. Originally from Mexico City, I’ve been based in Los Angeles for the past 9 years. I have over 20 years of experience in the ad industry and have worked at multinational agencies including J. Walter Thompson (WPP), Marcel (Publicis Groupe), and Y&R (now VML), where I served as ECD. As a freelancer, I've collaborated with Ogilvy (LA, NYC, and Health), 160over90, Sockeye, Rest of the World, 0-1 Agency, Latinworks, La Reyna, Gallegos United and Oakleaf. The work I’ve been part of has been recognized by The One Show, Clio Awards, Effie Awards, The Webby Awards, New York Festivals, Cannes Lions (shortlist), Ciclope Berlin, D&AD, WPPed Cream Awards, Círculo de Oro, FIAP, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, and El Sol de Bilbao. Beyond advertising, I’m also an artist driven by a passion for exploring creativity in all its forms. Anything related to music, illustration, experimentation, culture, poetry, meditation or mental health, and art in general sparks my curiosity and fuels my inspiration. I hold dual citizenship.
